The call being made by Speaker of parliament Professor Aaron Mike Oquaye for teachers to stop having affectionate relationships with students at Asamakesi Senior High school during the 60th anniversary of the school seems to be falling on death ears.
Reports indicate that a science teacher in the said school has assaulted a second-year student in the school for ending an amorous relationship with him.
Sources say that the student whose name has been withheld upon realizing that the teacher has other partners in the same school with whom he has same relations with decided to quit. But her actions did not go on well with the teacher.
Further revelations by the student indicates that the teacher has over the periods been engaging in countless sexual relationships with students in the school and on some occasion led to him taking steps to abort pregnancies.
Though the Ghana education service has not officially written or made any move on this current case, the Asamankese Senior High School seems to be curving a name for it self in the area of sexual assaults on female students.
