Ghana’s ‘Year of Return’ Steering Committee which has been set up by government to advocate the return of Ghanaians abroad will today welcome Kofi Kingston, one of the World’s Wrestling Entertainment Champions to Ghana.
Kofi Kingston is set to arrive at the Kotoka International Airport to embark on a four-day visit to his homeland Ghana.
Reports say this is the first time the wrestler is visiting Ghana since 1993 and he sees the period to be a perfect time to return.
According to a release issued and copied to the Ghana News Agency, the committee stated how happy they are to welcome him to Ghana on his return for the period within which he will be staying.
Kofi Kingston will be in the country for a few days and the committee in charge of ‘the Year of return’ has stated that his presence will give Ghana a positive out look.
Kofi Kingston who goes by the Ghanaian name Kofi Sarkodie-Mensah will be visiting both his paternal and maternal homes thus Ejisu and Atwina Techiman respectively.
He would also visit the Menhyia palace where he would be paying homage to the Asantehene.
