President of the Republic of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has announced a lift on Ghana’s lockdown amidst several calls from Ghanaians because they are suffering.
Whiles the President in his earlier address stated that he was extending the lockdown as a result of data that was available to him, the reason for his decision this time around has not changed.
In his 7th address to Ghanaians with respect to the deadly coronavirus, the president still kept the ban on social gatherings on but eased the restrictions on movement.
Nana Akuffo Addo however warned people who have been circulating falls messages with regards to the coronavirus cases and asked that the practice should be stopped or else government will take necessary actions towards stopping them.
The president also admonished Ghanaians to put on a face mask whenever they are moving out of their homes and also requested from them to continue with keeping all the health protocols such as social distancing and continuous hand washing.
